Ideas for a France Themed Party
France has one of the longest-established national football teams in the world - it was formed at or around the same time as the founding of FIFA in 1904. Their first home international match was against Switzerland, a 1-0 victory played out in front of just 500 spectators. France took part in the first ever World Cup, and won the trophy on home territory in 1998.
Given France's long history, it isn't surprising that there are many local and national festivals and celebrations throughout the year. The best known of these is undoubtedly Bastille Day, celebrated each year on the 14th July to mark the storming of the Bastille in 1789, the start of the French Revolution.
